Ontra Mobility Selected for Transit Tech Lab to Advance Transit Planning Innovation in New York
May 14, 2026

NEW YORK, NYMay 14, 2026 – Ontra Mobility today announced that it has been selected to participate in Transit Tech Lab’s 2026 cohort as part of the Data & Workflow Modernization Challenge. Through the program, Ontra will conduct a proof of concept over an eight-week period of collaboration with agency partners, including MTA NYCT and LIRR.
Transit Tech Lab brings together transportation agencies and technology companies to explore practical solutions for regional transit challenges. This year’s cohort focuses on infrastructure management, data modernization, and workflow improvements across participating agencies.
Ontra Mobility is an AI transit planning platform that leverages ridership, scheduling, and operations data to predict travel demand, recommend service design, and optimize timetables under real-world budget and fleet constraints.
The proof of concept gives Ontra an opportunity to explore how AI-powered planning tools can help transit agencies evaluate service scenarios faster, understand operational tradeoffs, and make more data-driven decisions.
